G7
Group of 7
Topic: G7 Summit 2021 - Rebuilding Post-Pandemic Societies
The Group of Seven is an inter-governmental political forum consisting of the United States, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, and the United Kingdom. Its leaders have gathered together annually since the 1970s, alongside the heads of the EU, with ministers from their governments. In 2021, the first in-person G7 meeting in over 2 years were held in Cornwall, the United Kingdom. Policy priorities included recovery from the coronavirus pandemic, trade, tackling climate change and promoting shared values.
In this committee, the G7 leaders, guest country leaders and stakeholders will work together to seize the opportunity to rebuild stronger policy in a post coronavirus era. At a tipping point in history, delegates will be challenged with uniting to make a fairer, greener and more prosperous future.
